H arcaica

Antes de la estandarización del alfabeto griego, la H se llamaba "heta" (y aún después), y representaba la espiración sorda, como la H del germánico. Así figura en el artículo en inglés. <Dionysius Thrax in the second century BC records that the letter name was still pronounced heta (ἥτα), correctly explaining this irregularity by stating "in the old days the letter Η served to stand for the rough breathing, as it still does with the Romans."[2]>--Manfariel (discusión) 17:01 25 jun 2016 (UTC)
