Juan Paz (Talent Manager)[editar]

Juan Paz (born June 28, 1973) is a Colombian music manager who is the founder and CEO of Peace Music Management. Previously he founded the talent management company M3 Music. Before that, he held positions at EMI, Sony Music, Apple, and Music Ally. Currently, he is the Managing Director at ADA Latin.[1]

1994−2009: Early life and career beginnings[editar]

Juan was born on June 28, 1973, in Cali, Colombia. He initially worked as a nightclub entrepreneur and internet-based project manager in Colombia. In 2005 he moved to London to attend the University of Westminster enrolling in a Masters of Music Management. After graduating, Juan started his career working for iTunes Europe and the London based digital consultancy Music Ally where he participated in strategy and digital marketing projects for EMI, Universal Music, Warner Music, Beggars Group, British Phonographic Industry (BPI), The Association of Independent Music (AIM), Vodafone, The Spanish Association of Performers (AIE), SGAE.

In 2009 Paz co-founded M3 Music where he began managing the Colombian band Bomba Estéreo.[2][3]

2010−present: career[editar]

From 2010 to 2018, M3 Music roster starts growing, including artists like Mitu, Systema Solar, El Freaky, Superlitio, and Monsieur Perine.[4]​ In 2011, Juan left the job of Head of Research & Special Projects at Music Ally and was appointed as Regional Director of Digital Marketing & Consumer Insights at EMI Music Latin America.[5]​. He worked with artists including Coldplay, David Guetta, Katy Perry, Marisa Monte, Iron Maiden, Belinda, and Zoe. In 2013 he joined Sony Music and participated in the release strategies of Romeo Santos, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Prince Royce, Maluma, CNCO, Wisin, Yandel, Carlos Vives, Enrique Iglesias, Nicky Jam, and Calle 13. In 2018, Juan founded Peace Music Management a company with operations in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Miami, representing Eduardo Cabra, Monsieur Periné, Javiera Mena, and the Colombian rock band Superlitio.[7]​ In 2020, Juan Paz was appointed Managing Director, overseeing Latin US, Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.[6]
